Product no. 8: Alarm clock

It is hard to find any mechanical alarm clocks these days. We found this one in an Ikea shop. It is supposed to make a loud noise compared to today's electronic beepers, so we thought this should be the solution to our children always sleeping too late in the morning.

Yes, after trying it the noise was enough. But after a while I tried it myself, winding the alarm time to the current time. No alarm sound! The clock didn't function any more.

	The bell mechanism arm is stuck, it cannot be moved. The clock is not repairable by user; the cover cannot be opened. No way. Too big of an effort to go back to Ikea and get a new one.
